In Samarkand, the rulers of countries that are home to more than half of humanity, have most of the world’s productive capacity and the vast majority of its mineral resources. They have come together to accelerate the creation of a new world order where they will trade, cooperate and perhaps even argue directly with each other. No Western banks, no Western money, no Western institutions, no Western technology (which they have already adopted and can develop better than we can).

It is logical. We have nothing to offer them anymore – except maybe Hollywood movies. But note that the Western entertainment industry is also sort of stuck – a constant dusting off of old characters and pervasive political correctness. Who knows how much longer anyone will care?

The whole world can see that NATO cannot defeat the Russian Expeditionary Force in Ukraine, shortly after the debacle in Afghanistan.

It’s no problem for them. But it is a problem for us, who are quite naturally used to the rest of the world giving us their raw materials and their labour without getting anything in return. That is, apart from political correctness training and military interventions. But even those military interventions are no longer working. The whole world can see that NATO cannot defeat the Russian Expeditionary Force in Ukraine, shortly after the debacle in Afghanistan. They are no longer afraid of us!

Well, as long as we can assure each other that they are criminals and dictators and that they don’t have flush toilets. I just don’t know if we’ll eat that reassurance.
