Subsidies for ideological stupidity are being cut, but not everywhere. For example, Charles University managed to get a grant for research on the “colonial past of European universities”. This is being handled by Professor Křížová, famous for her calls for the Czechs to take the blame for the enslavement of black Africans. Didn’t you know there was a black man tied to every Czech cottage?
Actually, the Czech Republic was an Austrian colony from 1626-1918, but who cares about such details. Especially not history professors when they get big grants.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, part of the brief is to “develop strategies for their reinterpretation and presentation to the European public.” Translated into plain English, Charles University scientists get paid to make up lies and bombard the public with them. I can imagine that for many scientists this is simply an opportunity to get good money and that they hope to get away with it. It just pushes and pushes and pushes the boundaries of what is acceptable…”
According to Professor Křížová’s sophisticated theory, it is the case that “the Czech lands, like the rest of Europe, were involved in and benefited from a complex web of economic, political and cultural processes tied to the colonial expansion of the modern era.” How to understand this? Simple. When an Indian native grew something and handed it over to the British colonial administration, he was actually supporting the system that enslaved Africans. Indians are therefore to blame for colonialism. When an African native grew something and handed it over to the British colonial administration, he was in turn supporting the system that enslaved the Indians. Africans are also to blame for colonialism.
So is there anyone left in the world who does not bear any blame for colonialism? That’s right, the only pure ones are the Arab Muslim slave traders who hunted slaves all over the world from the 7th to the 19th century.
You see, and Professor Křížová and her colleagues didn’t even need USAID to do that.
