From Reflections on Elites, War and Peace, published in 2022: “We can consider any end to the war that provides Russia with clear guarantees that Ukraine’s territory will not be used as a springboard for a NATO attack as a victory for Russia.”
Conversely, any situation that facilitates a future attack on Russia can be considered a victory for NATO.
I would like to remind you that this was not at all shocking three years ago. At that time, Western politicians and analysts were talking about the division of a defeated Russia. In fact, I myself discussed this issue on Czech Radio sometime in 2015, and the question of how to ensure the occupation of a conquered Russia was also raised.
This is just a side note to the current debate.
