Is there a criterion that enables us to distinguish between a malfunction and a feature of the system? Yes, there is. It is whether the event leads to the initiation of corrective actions, and whether those corrective actions have the support of the ruling group. For example, corruption in the Russian army would be considered a failure, whereas the frequent suspicious deaths of Vladimir Vladimirovich’s opponents would be considered a feature of the system.

However, France is a much more interesting case for us at the moment. Official state sources have revealed that the Muslim Brotherhood controls hundreds of mosques and has significant influence over education and state administration. They are also preparing to take power.

Perhaps it is just a malfunction or an attack. If so, we will see attempts to resolve the issue once and for all. These attempts may not be successful, but they must be made with the support of the highest authorities.

Or does the French political regime already consider itself transitional, expecting Islamists to gradually take power? This would be one of its fundamental characteristics, alongside restricting elections and persecuting the political opposition.

We will find out in a few weeks.
