While there are areas where different opinions can coexist indefinitely, there are also areas where reality catches up with us. Take energy, for example. Or war. Or healthcare.
US Secretary of Health, Robert Kennedy, spent much of his life campaigning against the MMR vaccine. This would not be a problem if he had remained in opposition without any responsibility. However, when he became minister, his efforts continued and parents were discouraged from vaccinating their children. As a result, American children began to contract diseases and some died of measles. This proved that vaccination was not just a figment of businessmen’s imaginations. Over the last month, Minister Kennedy has been recommending vaccination, stating that he would definitely have his children vaccinated.
It’s awful when children die for no good reason, simply because of human stupidity and superstition. But, to be honest, would a few deaths be enough to make the Czech government change their minds?
