The Trump Revolution Coalition consists of the working class, industrial magnates and other special interest groups. A great deal has already been written about this.
It has also been suggested that this revolutionary coalition overthrew the previous one, which consisted of bankers, corporate managers and professional intellectuals, and had ruled the Western world since the 1980s.
What came before? From World War II to the 1980s, relations were shaped by an alliance between small businesses and large corporations (which were predominantly national at that time). This coalition managed to coexist peacefully with the working class, but the working class did not dictate the terms.
In this sense, we can view the development of Western societies as a succession of epochs, each ruled by slightly different forces. Eventually, these forces exhaust themselves. Sometimes this occurs when competing power groups emerge, and at other times when part of the existing coalition loses interest in the alliance.
In fact, this is somewhat reminiscent of ancient dynasties. However, the key difference is that changes occur so rapidly that several epochs can be experienced within a single lifetime.
