When it comes to artificial intelligence, there are two types of people.

Some people command it. This means that:

  • I know what I want from it in advance.
  • I can tell whether what it has presented to me is really what I wanted.
  • I realise that my brain’s abilities are significantly influenced by the tasks I perform myself versus those I assign to artificial intelligence.

The other group relies on artificial intelligence to take care of their work, and even their lives.

It is highly likely that members of the upper classes will raise their children to belong to the former group. In the lower classes, naive enthusiasm will prevail. ‘My son gets along well with artificial intelligence. That probably means he’s very intelligent himself.’ While no one will prevent the poor from joining the first group, such cases will be rare.

So, how do artificial intelligence courses fit into this? They are courses where you learn how to create something that looks impressive at first glance as quickly as possible. In other words, they teach you how to let artificial intelligence control you.
